The Bay Veterans Foundation is currently renovating buildings at 1009 N. Madison, a block north of the Bay County Building. This space will be a Workshop and Learning Center where Veterans can learn (or teach) woodworking, use of CNC machines, laser engravers, etc., in a safe welcoming environment.
We are planning to open Phase I of the project next spring, but looking for individual and community support to raise the final $100,000. Our Phase I projection was $710,000, of which we've raised nearly $600,000. The sooner we can complete the renovation the sooner we can open the Workshop. If you would like to honor a veteran or memorialize one who has passed please consider a contribution in honor of their service. All donations will be listed on a memorial page on our website. In addition, donations of $100 or more will receive a wooden plaque, which will be mounted on the interior of the Workshop and Learning Center to recognize 'your' veteran. |
